Owl Babies-My favorite story.

This week at preschool we are learning about families. My Tuesday/Thursday class is having a tough time easing into the year so I took out my favorite story today. This is the sweetest book about 3 owlets who wake up and discover their mom is missing. They start to get nervous and worry when she finally returns and reassures them.

I made a puppet for this book using a garden glove, white feathers, big eyes and a shell for the beak. It took all of 15 minutes to make. Gloves make awesome bases for puppets. This one is named Percy after one of the owls in the story and is an awesome way to introduce the story. All but 2 children in my room played with him today.
